road trip 2012

Dear Internet Friends:

My friend Maggie and I are taking a road trip down south from Boston in late August.  We are planning to hit: Atlantic City, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Philadelphia.

Do any of you kind folks have any of the following:

* a floor/couch/bed for us to crash on for a night (we promise not to kill you/eat your face if you promise not to kill us)

* suggestions of fun/kitschy/must-do things on the road

* food suggestions.  we love barbeque.
